I am bored at work.... it is a lazy Friday afternoon.... so I am going to post some lyrics that are striking my fancy... songs i am listening to...

It is a beautiful... wonderful.... absolutely fabulous Friday! Tonight, I am staying in. I am going to curl up and watch movies, and sleep late tomorrow.... and that is all I want to do! So exciting to have a free weekend!

Check it out now.... funk soul brother... http://www.warq.com/gopher.shtml There, you can see all the updates and pics from "The Gopher". I have to admit that this whole thing is an awful lot of fun... and I am starting to really love my nickname. Being "Whif" just ain't half bad!

Gopher Office Olympics:

Round 1: "Typing": I have to admit that I had the upperhand here. Typing professionally for over a year now, I have to say that I had what it took. I mean, the time saver really is in refusing to use the mouse... Cntrl commands are real time savers. I came in first.

Round 2: "T-Shirt Folding": This was a tough one. We folded 93.5 T-shirts to make sure that the logo was effectively displayed. i came in 2nd.

Round 3: "Van Loading and Unloading": We basically unloaded and reloaded the van. It was timed. Lemme won on time. I was very gentle with the equipment. :) I came in 2nd.

This is too much fun. lol.

UGH!!!!!!!!! Sometimes.... Sometimes I fear that we are sponges and we can absorb the energies around us.... and I pray that is not true. Pissy, mean-spirited, just unpleasant vibes are not the ones I want to absorb. But there, in the pit of my stomach, churns a small small flame.... flickering back and forth.... and growing larger with each comment, each argument, each roll of the eyes and gesture. I end up feeling bad.... physically affected, emotionally pierced... because the moods and attitudes of others can influence my own.... and that, my friends, pisses me off.

So, my first day as a Gopher went well. :) The Djs are awesome and honestly... I like the other people in the competition. They are fun. I think that if "PimpDaddy", "Lemmy", or I win... I will be happy.

So I was at the station at 7:30.... on the bus to carowinds by like 9.... and at Carowinds... ALL day! It was fun. They didnt work us too hard or anything.... the real challenges are gonna start tomorrow. :)

My feet are killing me.

I went to dinner last night when we got in... with james! How great is that boy. He makes me laugh. :) He is my cool brother. larry is now my other brother.

Ever had just an amazing morning? Well, if you haven't, I am rubbing mine all in your face. ;) Take that as you will. So, 93.5 chose their 5 contestants for The Gopher this morning. Yours truly is gopher # 2!!! We are going to be interviewed on the air tomorrow morning at like 7:30 and then we are off to Carowinds. Yay! On the ride, and i assume while we are there.... we are gonna be bitches.... gophers all the way... the only thing is: "Will I be a good gopher?". Can I go the distance. I am gonna have to listen to Disney songs to pump myself up.
